Behavior Expectations
My classes are for students who are willing to learn and do the assigned work, while treating the instructor, other students, themselves, and the property with respect. Students must stay on task without requiring numerous reminders and be willing and able to work cooperatively and politely with any other student in the class.
Classes meet in our personal home, which is not particularly neat or large. Students are expected to behave like respectful guests. All students must arrive to each class with all required materials, including writing implements and a dedicated class notebook. Students must habitually do the assigned homework to the best of their abilities and bring the homework to class when it is due. Parents or students should email me in advance, or as soon as possible, if the student will be late or absent. Students may use cell phones during class only with prior permission. Cell phone use during breaks is limited to brief communications with parents only. Any student who is unable to follow my behavior expectations will be asked to leave the course. |
